What a silly week it was in blogland. After goofing off with Bella and her buddies, I decided to get back to work this past weekend. The weather has been so beautiful. It has inspired me to paint summer flowers. I really hope you like them!

I love the colors and the composition of this painting. I can see your gentle strokes. The leaves are very fluid and the bright intense colors stirs the heat within.
Yes, indeed Bella is such a distraction, a marvelous distraction, but she also inspires. I really enjoy her. I have met a few bloggers through her and they are all marvelous and trully gifted!

This puts me right in the mood for summer. I can feel the warmth of the sun. I know you're in PA, but in my mind, you live in a beautiful Tuscan villa, surrounded by summer wildflowers and grapevines. Love the deep magenta on the table and the scrollwork on the window. And of course, I can almost feel your beautiful sunflowers. Flavorless kisses to you -- mmmmwwwwaaaaah!
I love the sunny flowers, Linda. I am so glad you were inspired to paint them. You see everything in oils on canvas and I see everything in tatting. Guess that's a good thing since I am much better with tatting than I am painting!

This is a beautiful painting! I love sunflowers. In answer to your question about my mushroom on my blog, it's about 13" at the base and about 10" tall. I'll try to get more pics on this week.
Tempestuous and breaking rules SOMETIMES???!!!LOL!! i was always in trouble or grounded. i spent many days in my room. it was kind of a blessing in disguise because that is where i discovered my artistic abilities. so, either i was ugly and or dumb or my momma and teachers were oh so smart because i NEVER got away with ANYthing :(. they were on to me from the get go. hahaaa.
